BBC Worldwide has announced that the complete second series of the revived and revitalized Doctor Who television series will be released on DVD in the U.S. on January 16th, the Tuesday following the finale of the second series on the Sci Fi Channel. 

The first episode of the second series airs on the Sci Fi Channel this coming Friday night, September 29th.

The six-disc second series set will include all 13 episodes plus the Christmas special.  Bonus features will include the behind-the-scenes series Doctor Who Confidential as well as video diaries from stars David Tennant and Billie Piper.  A lenticular image of Rose and the Doctor will grace the packaging.
