Kahani World Inc., a Toronto-based animation company, and Virgin Comics have teamed up to co-produce Secrets of the Seven Sounds, a full length animated feature for kids seven and up, inspired by the ancient Indian myth Ramayana.  The film is in an advanced stage of development, with production just seven weeks away and release planned for the summer of 2007. 

The Secrets of the Seven Sounds feature, which ties in to the Virgin Comics title Ramayana Reborn, is being produced in cooperation with Virgin Comics founders Deepak Chopra and Shekar Kapur (director of Four Feathers, Bandit Queen, and Elizabeth), and is based on an original screenplay by Gotham Chopra, Sharad Devarajan, and Jeevan Kang.
