Stargate SG-1 to Continue on DVD

2 New Features Out in 2007

It turns out that the end of the Stargate SG-1 TV series (see 'Stargate SG-1 Ending') doesn't necessarily mean the end of the property.  Executive producer Brad Wright has indicated to TV Guide that MGM has greenlit the production of two Stargate SG-1 movies, which, in all likelihood, be heading straight to DVD.

Executive producer Robert Cooper is writing the first Stargate SG-1 movie, which will tie up all the loose ends resulting from the climax of Ori story arc.  Fellow exec producer Brad Wright will pen the second film, which will involve time travel.  Wright told TV Guide that he hoped to get both movies out on DVD by the end of 2007.
