In February Sabertooth Games will release two major expansions for its increasingly popular UFS (Universal Fighting System) CCGs.  Street Fighter: The Dark Path is the fourth UFS Street Fighter release based on the popular Capcom videogame, while Soulcalibur III: Soul Arena is the third UFS release based on the popular Namco fighting game.

Street Fighter: The Dark Path is a 144-card base set, and it will be available both in 60-card starter decks (MSRP $9.99) and 10-card booster packs (MSRP $3.49).  A number of key Street Fighter characters including T-Hawk, Ryu, and Chun-Li make appearances in this set with their very own starter decks.

The Soulcalibur III: Soul Arena series marks the first appearance of numerous fan favorite characters as well as the return of keystone characters.  The fighters appearing in this set's starter decks are Cervantes, Lizardman, Yoshimitsu, and Abyss.  Soul Arena will also be available in 60-card starter decks ($9.99) and 10-card booster packs.

For a new game line, the UFS releases have been doing very well, ranking as the #5 CCG on the ICv2 Top 10 list in the last Retailers Guide to Games (see 'Game Retailers Reveal Secrets') have indicated that Sabertooth's UFS releases are gaining ground -- and at this point it is looking as if UFS might rank third (up from fifth in the previous Guide) in the next ICv2 ranking of collectible card game releases in the ICv2 Retailers Guide to Games #13.
