Planetwide Media has announced plans to release Tokyopop Manga Creator self-publishing software for Spring 2007.

Tokyopop Manga Creator ($29.99 MSRP) will allow software users to create their own manga featuring Tokyopop characters, backgrounds, logos, icons and screen shots.  Manga creators will be able to print out, post on a blog or social network, or e-mail their creations.

The software will be sold online by the two companies and through selected hobby and mass retailers.  Planetwide produces other non-licensed and licensed Comic Book Creator software, including the original Comic Book Creator, and  Marvel Heroes and Nacho Libre editions (see ''Comic Book Creator' Software).
