HBO To Do 'Preacher' Series

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO is developing a one-hour series based on Vertigo's popular Preacher series created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon and published in 1995-2000.  Ennis and Dillon will co-produce the project.

 

The pilot will be written by Mark Steven Johnson, who is the writer-director for the Daredevil movie and the upcoming Ghost Rider film.  Howard Deutch (Pretty in Pink,Grumpier Old Men) has been named director.
