Ilan Strasser of Fat Moose Comics and Games in Whippany, New Jersey has exchanged comments on the Kandora comics launch (see 'Kandora Publishing Announces First Titles') with creator C. Edward Sellner.  Here's his response to Sellner's last Talk Back comment (see 'C. Edward Sellner Explains Kandora Rationale'); he's now been convinced to stock the Kandora titles:

I read C. Edward Sellner's reply to my second Kandora piece and he is certainly saying all the right things, and I mean that very sincerely.  I appreciate the planning that has gone into the line and understand that it may be too late to make sweeping changes -- though one could argue the Kandora folks could take the titles off the table and re-solicit in 6 months or so.  The point is that anyone venturing into the difficult business of comics publishing should really do everything to maximize their chances for success.  I believe that in today's market, price concerns overweigh those of page count for the consumer inundated with weekly new comic choices.

In any event, Kandora has a target date and a plan and will be proceeding, so let's hope they do well.  After reading Mr. Sellner's respones, I have decided to order at least 5 of each of their first issues.  One last question though for Mr. Sellner -- what will Kandora be doing to ensure that ALL their books consistently (as in always) ship on time?  If Kandora develops a following, that could prove to be even more important than page count or price!
