Figure and collectible maker Jun Planning has filed for bankruptcy in Japan, according to ITMedia News via Anime News Network.  The company shut down its U.S. offices late last month, at the same time as it shut down in Japan. 

 

Jun Planning had about $33 million in debt, according to the report. 

 

The company was known for its many Nightmare before Christmas items, as well as those based on anime properties such as Death Note and Black Lagoon.
