We’ve been able to clarify the publishing rights situation for the Elfquest books in the wake of the announcement this week that an Elfquest movie is in the works (see “Elfquest at Warners”).   DC Comics is continuing to sell its inventory of the Elfquest Archives volumes, although its ongoing publishing agreement ended in February of 2007.  DC is no longer selling the manga-style trade paperback editions; there may still be copies available at the wholesale and retail levels.  

The Elfquest publishing rights are in play, and a new publisher is being actively sought.  Given the movie news, it’s likely that one will be found soon.
