Marvel Sues MGAOver Toy LicensePublished: 01/15/2009 12:40am Marvel has filed suit against MGA Entertainment for alleged violations of its licensing agreement with the company, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal. The suit asks for $1.88 million, alleging unpaid licensing fees and that MGA made toys based on Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, which were not included in the companies’ licensing agreement (see “MGA Entertainment Gets Marvel Die-cast License”).
MGA told the Business Journal that Marvel’s claims were “without merit in either fact or law.” |
