'Magic' Comic Pushed Back
To February 1st

The first issue of IDW’s Magic: The Gathering Comic (see “IDW Launching ‘Magic: The Gathering’ Comic”) will street February 1, 2012; it was originally scheduled to ship on December 28. “Unforeseen printing challenges” were cited by an IDW spokesperson as the reason for the delay. Subsequent issues are expected to ship monthly.
The Magic: The Gathering comics include playable Magic cards. The card in the first issue will be an alternate art “Treasure Hunt” from Zendikar (see “’MTG’ #2 Card Previews ‘Dark Ascension’”). Interest in the comics and associated cards is high.
