Konami has revealed its plans for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the first half of 2012, which include a wide range of releases for this longrunning TCG that has now been in North America for ten years.

Order of Chaos Special Edition Set will release March 6th, with cards from the year’s first release Order of Chaos (see “YGO: Order of Chaos”).  This Special Edition Set contains three booster packs and one Super Rare for $9.99.

Premium Collection Tins will be released on March 20th, ten years after the launch of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG in North America, with 12 random foil cards from a 23-card set (which includes the four Yu-Gi-Oh! eras: Classic, GX, 5D’s and Zexal) and two variant Cards.  Premium Collection Tins will retail for $9.99.
Xyz Symphony
April 17th will see the release of a new 45-card Starter Deck: Xyz Symphony.  Perfect for new players, Xyz Symphony will contain powerful, easy-to-use cards and will include five Xyz monsters from the newest animated series, Zexal.  The Deck will retail for $9.99.

The month of May will see three product releases beginning on May 8th with Galactic Overlord, a new 100-card booster set. In this expansion set, some of the most popular monsters will see “Lightray” versions of themselves, and a new set of high-level Dragon monsters will also be introduced.  The 9-card booster packs will retail for $3.99.

May 29th will see two product releases: the 50-card sleeve pack Kaiba & Obelisk the Tormentor Card Sleeves ($3.99 SRP) and the first “Sealed Pack” product for Yu-Gi-Oh! in its ten years history.  The Battle Pack: Epic Dawn 5-card packs retail for $1.99 and will allow players to play games using only the cards from the sealed packs.  Each pack includes one glossy black or glossy white Rare Card, one special, shiny card and three Common cards.  The new Battle Packs will also be supported by new Sealed Pack tournament experiences.
In the summer, June will see another as-of-yet unnamed Structure Deck, followed in July by a new booster set titled Hidden Arsenal 6: Omega Xyz.  This new booster set will have the distinction of containing every kind of monster card ever made, along with an all foil subset.
