At a Comic-Con panel celebrating the 35th anniversary of Judge "I Am the Law" Dredd, IDW Publishing announced that Duane Swierczynski (story) and Nelson Daniel (art) will be the creative team for its new Judge Dredd comic book series debuting in November.  This follows on the heels of the announcement earlier this year that IDW obtained the license from English publisher 2000 AD to release all-new Dredd stories, as well as deluxe reprints of classic material (see "IDW Gets 'Judge Dredd'").

While Daniel will draw and color the main story in each issue of the new Judge Dredd series, backup stories tied into the overarching plot will be illustrated by such veterans as Paul Gulacy and Jim Starlin.  In addition, Ashley Wood, Carlos Ezquerra, Zach Howard, and Whilce Portacio have signed on to do cover art.

Continuing their partnership with 2000 AD, IDW has also announced a forthcoming (October) collection of Al Ewing and Brendan McCarthy’s The Zaucer of Zilk, divided into two oversized, 32-page issues ($3.99 each).  The surreal story takes place in the psychedelic world of Zilk (where science and magic meet), in which an alienated young man finds himself atop the throne of the legendary Zaucer.
