Marvel and ABC are in talks to develop a new Avengers live action drama for the network, according to Deadline.  The series would have little connection to the movie franchise, but would be set in the Marvel universe.  Talks are in an early stage, and a number of different concepts are being explored, according to the report.

Marvel is developing an animated series, Avengers Assemble, tied closely to the movie in cast and theme (see "Marvel Plans 'Avengers Assemble' Cartoon"), and has another animated Avengers series that may be winding down (see "'Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes' DVDs").
