Oscar-winner Colin Firth is in talks to join the cast of Secret Service, according to Hollywood Reporter.  Secret Service is based on the Mark Millar comic and directed by Matthew Vaughn (see "Vaughn on 'Secret Service'").  Vaughn directed the movie based on Millar’s Kick-Ass and is producing Kick-Ass 2.

The role Firth will play is the role of the uncle who recruits his nephew from a rough neighborhood into a British spy school.

The release date has now been set as November 14, 2014.
