Japanime Games shared updated plans for the eight Krosmaster: Arena Expansion Packs for its cross-platform Krosmaster game and as well as a new board expansion for the ice world Frigost.
Japanime Games released Krosmaster: Arena, a player-versus-player, tactical, anime-style miniatures game to trade in June after a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised $366,562 (see "Kickstarter-Funded 'Krosmaster: Arena' Anime Style CMG"). The tabletop game is currently available in English, French and Spanish, and will be available in Italian soon.
Each of the expansion packs will feature four new figures, all in window boxes. MSRP has not been established, but preorders on their Website are set at $28.00. The packs should be releasing in about six weeks, according to Eric Price, owner of Japanime Games. The figures also come with codes that unlock characters in the online version of the game. Price also announced plans for a larger game board-based expansion. "At the end of the year, we have a whole new expansion with a new board, it’s an ice world called Frigost." MSRP has not been established.
Japanime was also showing off its new Barbarossa card game (see "Anime-Based 'Barbarossa Deck Building Game'"). The WWII alternate history deck-building game, which features "anime Nazi girls attacking Russia" is now planned for release by the end of the year, and MSRP is set at $50.
