Time.com is reporting that Viz will release the Full Metal Alchemist manga series beginning in June 2005.  This is one of the big properties of the coming year, based on its history in Japan and the ratings the anime received in its debut on Adult Swim (see 'Female Audience Grows for Adult Swim').  FUNimation will release the Fullmetal Alchemist DVDs beginning in January (see 'Fullmetal Alchemist DVD Out in January').

The same article reports that Viz will launch a new Shonen Jump Advanced line in April, with manga for older teens and young adults.  The first title will be Hunter X Hunter.

And Viz will also begin publishing Dr. Slump, by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, in May.
